—Laverne Wyatt
Laverne is a graphic designer, communications manager, author, and social entrepreneur from Durban, South Africa. She currently resides in Norway where she works with advertising & design firms in South Africa, Malta and Norway. As a communications manager, Laverne creates, implements and oversees marketing solutions that communicate and promote the work of her clients. Her clients span various industries from construction to oil and gas companies; home health and beauty; to Start Up and governmental organizations.
Her unique career in graphic design stems from her passion for drawing and sketching from an early age. Growing up during apartheid and witnessing the power of media to exclude and marginalize groups of people, she advocates and promotes inclusive design through creating new products and cultural events with people and local groups in Norway. Given her first-hand experience integrating into a new culture, she also consults with the business community, cultural sector and charities with a focus on creating inclusive identity and communication solutions.
Currently, Laverne is working on a writing her second book, “What’s your Bloomprint” which is a collection of tools she has created over her 10 years of working with people struggling to identify, grow and share their personal stories in an authentic way online. She combines her love for gardening with her experience with communication and law of attraction tools in a fun and easy to use analogy of blooming. Much of the focus is on returning to the natural world and our personal ecosystems, self love and communicating self value. She does so by directly comparing ourselves to a blooming flower and understanding what it needs to grow and transform from wilting to wonderful.
